Our Beliefs
What We Believe
We affirm that the Bible is the infallible Word of God, serving as the ultimate authority for salvation and Christian living. (See II Timothy 3:15–17)
We believe in one God, revealed as Father (creation), Son (redemption), and Holy Spirit (emanation).
Jesus Christ is God manifested in the flesh, fully divine and fully human. (See Deuteronomy 6:4; Ephesians 4:4–6; Colossians 2:9; I Timothy 3:16)
Humanity stands in sin and in need of salvation. Salvation is a gift of God’s grace through faith, made possible by the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ. (See Romans 3:23–25; 6:23; Ephesians 2:8–9)
The gospel proclaims that Jesus died for our sins, was buried, and rose again.
To obey the gospel is to:
1. Repent (die to sin)
2. Be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ (symbolizing burial)
3. Receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit, with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues
(See I Corinthians 15:1–4; Acts 2:4, 37–39; II Thessalonians 1:8; I Peter 4:17; Romans 6:3–4)
Christians are called to love God and others, live inwardly and outwardly holy lives, and worship God joyfully. We believe the supernatural gifts of the Spirit, including healing, continue in the church today. (See Mark 12:28–31; II Corinthians 7:1; Hebrews 12:14; I Corinthians 12:8–10)
Jesus Christ will return to gather His church. There will be a final resurrection and judgment—the righteous receiving eternal life and the unrighteous facing eternal death. (See I Thessalonians 4:16–17; Revelation 20:11–15)
